The Wells Fargo Championship is a professional golf tournament that takes place annually on the PGA Tour. It was first held in 2003, and it has become one of the most prestigious events on the golf calendar.
The tournament is held at different courses, but it has been primarily played at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The tournament was initially named after the Wachovia Bank, which was the title sponsor until 2009 when Wells Fargo acquired Wachovia.
Since then, the event has been known as the Wells Fargo Championship.
